#RCOServiceChallenge: Food Donation

In the almost nineteen years of the Rotaract Club of Ottawa’s existence, we have never faced a challenge like COVID-19. It has changed how we meet, how we fundraise, and how we volunteer.

One of the greatest causalities of our club transitioning online is the loss of in-person volunteering. No longer are we serving meals at Shepherds of Good Hope. No longer are we painting walls at the Ottawa Rotary Home. No longer are we doing a Halloween food drive. How do we safely replace that valuable sweat equity?

Today, the Rotaract Club of Ottawa is launching our #RCOServiceChallenge. This is a multi-month initiative focusing on education, awareness, and service. Every week we will have a new theme, such as Food Bank Donations. We will share ways in which you can donate, some fast facts, and ways our members are actively putting service above self.

Keep your eyes on our social media for more coming soon.

*Please note* We won’t be going door to door this Halloween to collect canned goods for @ottawafoodbank but there’s no reason you can’t still donate. Donate safely online at https://www.ottawafoodbank.ca/ or to your local food bank!
