Meet the Executive Committee for the 2024-2025 Rotaract Year!

Diya Chakravarty

President

Loves exploring random streets

Diya is a third-year computer science and mathematics student at the University of Ottawa. She first learned about Rotary through the grade-twelve scholarship program; soon after, she fell in love with the community and vision. Diya says she wants to "save the world" by intersecting humanitarianism and technology.

She loves travelling to experience diverse cultures and partake in humanitarian projects. If you give her the chance, she will read all day, dance all day, and spend the night learning anything about everything.

Have a leadership question about our club? Looking to partner with us or unsure who to contact? Email our President, Diya!

Elsie G.

Vice President

Loves turning insight into impact

Driven by a passion for service and shared goals, Elsie enjoys bringing people together and helping turn ideas into action. Having held executive roles across Rotaract chapters in different countries, she brings a global perspective to leadership that is thoughtful, collaborative, and impact-driven.

Elsie values Rotaract as a space for leadership, growth, and meaningful community work. As Vice President, she is focused on supporting members, strengthening club initiatives, and keeping service at the heart of everything we do. Outside of Rotaract, she finds inspiration in traveling, music, and discovering new cultures through food and local experiences.

Have an idea for a new project or want to get more involved in club initiatives? Elsie is here to help!

Reid is a Software Engineer working for an Ottawa-based tech company, and has been a member of the Rotaract Club of Ottawa for six years, serving as treasurer for his fifth year. He originally moved to Ottawa in 2016 from Yellowknife, NT to study at the University of Ottawa. In Yellowknife, Reid was the vice president and president of his high school Interact club. After completing his degree he decided to stay in Ottawa after falling in love with the city. When he’s not working, he loves getting outdoors and taking advantage of what the Ottawa Valley has to offer, or if he’s feeling a little lazier, he can be found watching TV and cross stitching.

Have a question regarding our club fundraisers? Still need to pay your membership fees? Reid can help guide you!
