New Year, New Rotaract

And we’re off! The new Rotaract season is underway. Our first meeting was a great success. We were joined by new and returning Rotaractors; everyone was excited to get into planning events for the upcoming year.

Although the transition to virtual meetings has not been the easiest thing, we are certainly making the best of it. Using breakout rooms, we were able to separate into our Community Service Committee and our International Service Committee. Each committee came up with lots of new ideas for virtual fundraising and volunteering events. From the success of our online poker tournaments over the summer, we know that we are able to create and plan events during the pandemic.

The two committees will be coming together next Sunday for our annual Jules Morin Park cleanup, this year with masks and social distancing. This will be our first event of the year as a club. We expect it will be followed by many more!
