Rotary + The Environment: 15 Cheap Eco Friendly Swaps

Good morning, hope everyone’s week has been good. I’m so excited to share Rotary’s newest addition to their vision, and that is the environment! Recently, supporting the environment has become a new area of focus for Rotary, so in honor of that, I wanted to share some eco-friendly swaps so you can also support our precious earth.

  1. Use reusable paper towels (aka towels)

  2. Re-use or up-cycle old glass jars

  3. Incorporate more meatless meals into your week

  4. Buy in bulk where you can (also saves you money!)

  5. Make your daily coffee at home or bring a resuable cup

  6. Refuse straws (and if you still want one try a metal or silicone straw)

  7. Walk or ride your bike when you can (also great exercise)

  8. Turn the water off while brushing your teeth

  9. Buy + support local (less emissions in transport of goods)

  10. Plant your own veggies + herbs (bonus, water them in the morning or at night to limit evaporation)

  11. Invest or make your own reusable cotton rounds (great to take off makeup)

  12. Use a rag or cleaning cloth

  13. Use reusable bags (or resuse plactic ones you already have)

  14. Use resuable produc bags or omit them all together

  15. Shop second hand when possible

Remember it’s not about being perfect, it’s about doing your best. Thank you so much for reading, let us know how you support the earth. As always, check back next monday for a new blog post!
